BCOS appoints Kemi Ojelade as Acting Head of Channel Ajilete FM Ogbomoso

 



The Executive Chairman of Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS), Mrs. Dotun Olaitan, has approved the appointment of Mrs. Olukemi Ojelade as Acting Head of Channel, Ajilete FM, Gambari Ogbomoso.

This was contained in a letter signed by the Director of Administration and Supplies, Adewale Tijani, on behalf of the Chairperson, Broadcasting Services of Oyo State.

The appointment, which takes effect from 18th December 2023, mandates the new Acting Head of Channel Ajilete FM, Gambari Ogbomoso, to co-ordinate all activities of the Station by ensuring quality control of programs and adequate dissemination of information to the general public.

The BCOS Chairperson advised the new Head of the Channel, Ajilete FM Ogbomoso, to work hard to move the Station to the next level.

Olukemi Ojelade is a seasoned visual and audio broadcaster and a programmer of repute with over twelve years of experience in the broadcast industry. 

She had a Higher National Diploma certificate in Mass Communication from The Polytechnics Ibadan in 2008. She obtained a Bachelor of Library Information and Communication Science with Second Class Honours from the Kwara State University, Molete, Ilorin.

Before her new appointment, Mrs. Ojelade had served the corporation as a freelance staff for many years before she was officially employed in 2015.

She was the immediate past head of the programs unit and a regular shift announcer at Ajilete FM, a TV newscaster, and former co-host of the Mid-Morning show on BCOS Television Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

She is a member of the Nigerian Union Journalist (NUJ) and the Radio and Television Theatre Workers Union (RATTAWU).
