Ibadan Explosion: Ogbomoso First Group commiserates with Makinde, Olubadan, others





One of the foremost pan socio-cultural groups in Oyo State, Ogbomoso First Community Initiatives, O First Group, groups of Ogbomoso sons and daughters, has commiserated with the Oyo State Government, Olubadan of Ibadanland and Victims of the  Explosion that rocked Ibadan on Tuesday, 16th January 2024.


The unfortunate explosion claimed 3 lives,  injured over 77 people, and damaged properties and valuables in the affected area.


O'First group, in a statement signed by President Olusegun Adekunle, OON described the incident as devastating and unfortunate, especially when the country is still battling economic challenges. 


As concerned Indigenes of the state, we sympathize with the victims and their families and pray that God will restore their losses and grant them quick recovery.


The Group also commended Governor Seyi Makinde, his cabinet members, and other frontline workers, including the security agencies and health workers, for their swift response to the unexpected disaster.


While appealing to members of the public to be watchful and mindful of their environment,  the group appreciated the efforts of the state government and urged continued improvements in the security and safety of citizens.
